Pond5 is where most contributors keyword the least and lose the most, because a footage library is slow to tag by hand: every clip needs its own title and its own keyword list, and a title that runs long gets cut somewhere you did not choose. PixTagger samples each clip at three points in time, merges what it sees into one list, and writes a title that already fits — trimmed at a word boundary if it would run past 80 characters, never padded out if it is shorter. The CSV carries the columns Pond5 matches on, so a folder of clips goes from upload to described in one pass.

How do I apply the CSV on Pond5?+
Upload your clips or photos first, then go to Uploads and use Apply CSV. Pond5 matches each row to a file by its original filename, and its header names are case-insensitive, so the file works whether their importer expects OriginalFilename or originalfilename.
Why does my title get shortened?+
Only when it would run past 80 characters, which is the top of the range Pond5's guidance asks for. The cut lands on a word boundary so the title still reads properly. A title already inside the range is left exactly as it is — we never stretch one to fill the space.
Does it handle video, or only photos?+
Both, and video is the point here. MP4, MOV and M4V are sampled at three points in time and the keywords merged into one list. A photo costs 1 credit and a clip costs 2, whatever its length.
How many keywords does each row carry?+
Up to 50, ordered strongest-first, deduplicated, and filtered through the same guard pipeline our Getty users rely on. We fill the slots that genuinely describe the file rather than padding to the limit, because a list stretched with loosely-related words competes against its own best keywords.
Can I export for Pond5 and another agency from the same batch?+
Yes. One tagging run produces the Pond5 CSV alongside Getty/iStock, Adobe Stock, Shutterstock and Dreamstime exports and XMP sidecars, with each file's keywords adapted to that marketplace's rules rather than copied across unchanged.
